Clarification on Eligibility Requirements: Strands, MCP, and Nova Models

Hi team, could you clarify eligibility requirements?

I see possible inconsistency between Rules and FAQ:
- Rules appear to require at least one Nova model/service, while Strands/LangChain/MCP look optional.
- FAQ appears to require Strands Agents + at least one AWS MCP server, but another FAQ answer suggests Strands may not be required when using Nova Act.

Could you confirm:
1) Is Strands mandatory?
2) Is AWS MCP server mandatory?
3) For Agentic AI, can custom multi-agent orchestration without Strands/Nova Act be eligible if Nova models are used?
4) Is pre-ingested (non-live) demo data acceptable?

Thanks for clarifying.

    Hi there,

Thanks for pointing this out. I think there was one word that was confusing in the FAQs I've fixed. The rules always prevail.

1-2. Strands and MCP are examples of optional tools. Your project MUST use a Nova model or Nova Act at a bare minimum.
    3. That should be okay as long as you are using a Nova model or Nova Act.
    4. Third-party is allowed as long as you have permission: "Third Party Integrations: If a Project integrates any third-party SDK, APIs and/or data, Entrant must be authorized to use them in accordance with any terms and conditions or licensing requirements of the tool."

    Good luck with your project!
