Bedrock Model Access Blocked for Nova Multimodal Embeddings

Hi Team,

I’m participating in the Amazon Nova Hackathon and trying to use Amazon Nova Multimodal Embeddings (amazon.nova-2-multimodal-embeddings-v1:0) in us-east-1.

However, when invoking the model via invoke_model, I receive the error:

“Access to Bedrock models is not allowed for this account.”

I have AdministratorAccess IAM permissions, and the model appears in the Model Catalog and Service Quotas, but invocation is blocked.

Could you please help enable foundation model access for my account?

  Opened the support session and explained the problem (told that I am running this for the Nova 2 hackathon). The support team said they could not consider to open access to the Nova 2 models unless they see some transactions on my billing account. :))) Still not waiting. I gave up already.

  So how are we support to build with Nova 2 if they are expecting transactions on billing?
  For days now, I have been struggling to access any Nova 2 models, including the embedding, and still not not.
